The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has had a profound impact on food companies. While large growers, packers, shippers, importers, and buyers have handled compliance with the new law relatively easily, smaller entities, especially importers and others that need to meet the demands of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), might find themselves without the personnel or Qualified Individual (QI) necessary to monitor the food safety of their suppliers.

Florida Laboratory on the Move
|
|
PrimusLabs is pleased and excited to announce that over the next few months, it will move its Florida laboratory from its current location in Belle Glade to Lakeland, Florida. We hope to have the Lakeland laboratory up and running by early January 2020. The new lab will provide us with more flexibility; extended sample receiving and supply shipment times; and a larger space allowing for more testing capabilities, expansion, and servicing, so that we can better address all of our customers’ testing needs.
The Belle Glade laboratory location will continue to process clients’ mailed samples until the week of Thanksgiving (November 25th, 2019). After that time, those customers who are mailing samples to our laboratories are asked to mail to either our Santa Maria, CA, Salinas, CA, or Yuma, AZ locations (see below). We can help you by supplying sampling supplies,

coordinating discounted shipping rates through FedEx, as well as providing you with pre-printed shipping labels.
Samples dropped off directly to the Belle Glade laboratory will be accepted until December 16, 2019. After that time, the Belle Glade laboratory will no longer continue operation.
We are looking forward to our move to the new facilities in Lakeland, Florida, and we vow to continue to offer our clients exemplary food safety sampling and testing services throughout the transition period and beyond.
