PrimusLabs Steps Up to Help Salinas Valley Romaine Producers

 

Since the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) imposed strict, new, importing conditions on romaine lettuce grown in the Salinas Valley, it has been an incredibly hectic three weeks for romaine producers in four California counties: Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz.

PrimusLabs stepped up to provide them with significant help.

The new requirements were announced on October 2nd and went into effect on October 7th, which meant that everyone involved and very little advanced notice.

Azzule Invites Stakeholder Feedback on the Updated PrimusGFS Standard

Azzule Systems is inviting users and supporters to participate in a stakeholder review of an updated PrimusGFS Standard. We plan to release Version 3.2 immediately for stakeholder review instead of V4.0.

It is important to note that PrimusGFS V3.1 will continue to be available for use until further notice, while PrimusGFS V3.2 is in the process to achieve GFSI recognition.

Azzule's "Shipper Access Feature" Helps Shippers Assist Their Growers

On October 16, 2020, Azzule released its Shipper Access Feature in Azzule Auditing Software. The "Shipper Access Feature" applies to all the checklists available in Azzule Auditing Software, including Primus Standard Audits, GLOBALG.A.P., and the Costco Produce Audit Addendum.

The Shipper Access Feature is the tool that enables shippers to use their own account to accept audit activities on behalf of their growers during a food safety auditing process.
