Developed in response to evolving industry expectations and market requirements, this optional addendum strengthens the evaluation of harvest equipment sanitation, preventive maintenance, and operational controls designed to reduce potential cross-contamination risks during harvesting activities.
The addendum introduces additional requirements related to:
- Preventive maintenance programs and records
- Master sanitation schedules and SSOPs
- Cleaning verification and sanitation logs
- Harvest tool, machinery, reusable container, and transport sanitation practices
- Documentation supporting sanitation frequency, chemical use, and verification activities
In addition to PrimusGFS audits, the addendum may also be used alongside other GFSI-recognized audits, providing a practical and consistent approach across certification programs. It is accessible within the Azzule Auditing Software and can be linked directly to applicable audits during the application process.
This addendum applies to audits conducted from the release date forward and serves as a bridge solution while PrimusGFS v4.0 progresses through the GFSI recognition process.
