From the Farm to the Cloud
We've lived in and worked closely with farming communities for nearly 30 years. It's who we are and it's who we serve.
PrimusLabs began collecting food safety information in 1998, 10 years before the birth of Azzule. The first data collected were audits, but soon lab testing results were also archived. Data has value, and the more data that can be collected and the more varied that data is, the greater its value.
With the advent of the Global Food Safety Initiative in 2000, PrimusLabs sought to develop a GFSI benchmarked audit of its own to extend its worldwide reach in the fresh produce industry. The result was PrimusGFS, and in 2008 Azzule was launched to both serve as the PrimusGFS scheme owner as well as the data manager of a decade’s worth of auditing, laboratory testing, and food safety documents.
Platforms for Azzule’s Supply Chain Programs were soon created to enable the movement of that data up and down the supply chain, and in so doing, to facilitate the exchange of all types of products between growers, packers, shippers, and buyers of all sizes.
Azzule now has 20 years’ worth of food safety data in its archives, and with the passage of the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011 (FSMA) and the implementation of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), it finds itself uniquely positioned to respond to the regulatory challenges of the food industry. Its data analytics capabilities, the advanced features of its data management systems, and its FSMA support services have revolutionized food safety by simplifying regulatory and buyer compliance in a comprehensive array of offerings that meet the needs of any and all food companies.
